Hey, I'm Brian Lenney.
I’m a direct-response copywriter and conversion consultant.
For over a decade, I’ve been turning ideas into leads, clicks, and cold, hard cash.
My start wasn't exactly glamorous. Before copywriting, I bounced through maybe 30 jobs (yes, really). I was virtually “unemployable,” hated the 9-to-5 grind, and was really just... bored.
But I'd always been a good writer, and after multiple people telling me to pursue copywriting, I literally Googled “How to become a copywriter” in 2012 and fell down a rabbit hole.
I learned two things fast:
1. I could get paid well to write "marketing stuff"
2. Copywriting is formulaic, plug-and-play, and easy to "assemble"
So...
Once I felt confident (ish), I cold-emailed an agency, and landed my first gig the same day. That first project? $1,800 for SEO copy with zero portfolio or experience. I was hooked. They hired me again, and I never looked back.
That same week, I got my first monthly retainer client, quit my day job, and haven't looked back since.
Spending my formative years in SaaS startup land, I worked with HubSpot, Hotjar, and all kinds of cool startups. But when things went woke, I got OUT as fast as I could and jumped into direct response where the real money flows.
Since then, I’ve collaborated with industry leaders like Rich Dad, Tim Sykes, and The Agora Companies, while also dedicating significant time to conservative political campaigns and organizations such as the Health Freedom Defense Fund and Citizens' Alliance, among others.
The secret?

"Why should I hire you instead of a full-time copywriter/freelancer?

"Unlimited copy? Really?"
Yes, really! This doesn't mean I work on 50 projects at once, it means I will write whatever you give me each month, one project at a time, all month long. Nobody has ever taken advantage of me, but sometimes, I wish they would because I can deliver VSLs, ads, emails, landing page copy quickly.
"How can you turn it around so fast?"
Because I've been doing this for well over a decade. Copywriting is formulaic. It's not even necessarily 'written' as it is 'assembled.' There are proven frameworks for just about anything, and after writing in so many niches and seeing results, I can give you proven, tested, direct-response copy that just works. I don't need to spend a week on an email series. It takes a few hours at most. Landing page copy, ads, one-off emails... they're simple to write because I've done it for so long.
"Are you using A.I. to do this?"
I'd be a fool not to... but it's not what you think. I don't use A.I. to write the copy, but I sure as hell use it to check for typos, do research, stuff like that. Any copywriter who DOESN'T utilize A.I. in some way or another is working harder, not smarter, in my humble opinion. But no, you won't get a bunch of A.I. generated crap with me. You'll get copy written by me, for you, that's worthy of shipping.
"How does it all work?"
We do a kickoff call if needed, and from there we use Signal or Slack, texting/voice memos, Trello, and Google Docs to collaborate. We don't do standing meetings; we're both much too busy for that (plus, I HATE Zoom calls with a passion that burns brighter than the sun). Once we make it official, it's pretty easy. You just login into Trello, post your request in the proper column, and it's on the list. Plus, you get to see what I'm working on at the same time, so you'll always know what's due and what's next in line.
"What if I need edits?"
You'll probably have small tweaks, edits, or suggestions here and there, and I'll work on them until you're happy. It's easy to do a Loom video or screenshot to point them out, and the turnaround is usually very quick.
"Any refunds?"
Nope. The price pays for the month ahead, no matter how little or how much you use it. For example, you pay me on or before January 1st for the entire month of January. I do an initial 3-month contract, then after that, we can re-up, go month-to-month for a slightly higher fee ($5,500), or maybe we decided we don't like each other and go our separate ways (rare).
